The iconic Pebble Beach Resorts has announced a notable expansion at The Lodge at Pebble Beach, set to open in August. This new addition, named Fairway One, will enhance the guest experience with thoughtfully designed accommodations and updated meeting facilities.
Fairway One adds 38 guestrooms to The Lodge’s inventory: 30 guestrooms spread across three two‑story buildings and eight rooms located in two four‑bedroom golf cottages overlooking the first fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links. The new complex also includes a dedicated meeting facility featuring a 2,500‑square‑foot meeting room, providing flexible space for small conferences, corporate retreats, and private events.
“The Lodge and Pebble Beach Golf Links are where our story began in 1919, and now, as we approach our 100th anniversary, the addition of Fairway One will help us continue that legacy for the next 100 years,” said Bill Perocchi, CEO of Pebble Beach Company. Perocchi noted that Fairway One is designed to match the style and signature services guests expect at The Lodge, while also offering a more private, elevated stay for visitors seeking a quieter retreat.
The Fairway One project is part of a broader series of enhancements across the resort. Renovations are underway for all 454 guestrooms across The Lodge, The Inn at Spanish Bay, and Casa Palmero, ensuring each property offers modern comforts while preserving its unique character. In addition, careful restorations to Pebble Beach Golf Links are being made to maintain the course’s historic integrity and playability.
These upgrades are timed to prepare the resort for several major events and milestones, including hosting the 2018 U.S. Amateur and the 2019 U.S. Open Championships, as well as celebrating the resort’s centennial in 2019. Together, the improvements aim to preserve Pebble Beach’s legacy while enhancing amenities and services for future generations of guests.
