Following Marriott International’s acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, St. Maarten welcomes its first Marriott-branded property: the Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa.
Now part of the Marriott International portfolio, the Westin Dawn Beach is the only Marriott property on St. Maarten and joins Marriott’s collection across more than ten Caribbean destinations, including St. Kitts, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Aruba, the Cayman Islands, Curaçao and the Bahamas.

Members of both Marriott Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) programs can link accounts and transfer points, enabling stays at Marriott hotels worldwide, including Westin Dawn Beach, Renaissance Aruba Resort and The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba.
Sabrina Lawrence, reservations manager at Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa, said, “We look forward to welcoming Marriott Rewards members to our resort, situated along the southeastern shore of the Dutch side of the island and just minutes from Princess Juliana International Airport.”
The 341-room resort is set on a lush hillside framed by ocean views and tropical landscaping. As one of the largest upscale properties in the Dutch Caribbean, the Westin features elegant guestrooms, a full-service European-style Hibiscus Spa, an on-site casino and the island’s largest infinity pool.
For those planning an extended summer getaway, a week-long stay for two at Westin Dawn Beach can be redeemed for 72,000 SPG points or 216,000 Marriott Rewards points. Until the loyalty programs are fully merged, guests are able to transfer points between the programs to book stays across participating Marriott and Starwood hotels.
