Crystal River Cruises has announced several new itineraries for the 2019 season, launching in March 2019. These routes range from seven to 16 days and give travelers the chance to explore multiple cities and sights while enjoying the comfort of a river-ship hotel.
Five ships will operate the new sailings: the Mozart, Bach, Mahler, Debussy and Ravel. With names that echo classical composers, these vessels will sail along the Danube and call at some of Central Europe’s most storied ports.
The seven-day Wonders of the Danube itinerary departs from Budapest and visits Vienna, Austria, and Bratislava, Slovakia, before concluding in Linz, Austria. Onboard the Crystal Mahler, passengers can choose a special Magnificent Christmas Markets cruise that includes extended overnight stays in Vienna and Budapest for a relaxed, festive experience. There is also an 11-day Grand Danube Celebration journey with a holiday focus that spends Christmas Day cruising the Danube. That itinerary includes calls in Budapest and several German ports, such as Regensburg, and concludes with an overnight stay in Nuremberg.
Fares for these all-inclusive river cruises start at $2,805 per person, offering accommodations, dining, and many onboard amenities bundled into the price.
These new River Danube options are designed for travelers who prefer immersive, multi-stop itineraries without the hassle of packing and unpacking at every destination. The combination of scenic river travel, cultural stops in major Central European cities, and seasonal holiday departures make the 2019 season an appealing choice for those planning a European river cruise.
