Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is expanding in India with a new property scheduled to open later this year in Kochi. Conveniently located near the city center and Cochin International Airport, the hotel will cater to both business and leisure travelers with a broad range of facilities.
The Kochi property will feature an executive lounge and several meeting rooms designed for corporate events and small conferences. For larger gatherings, the hotel will offer a banquet hall with seating for up to 500 guests. Leisure amenities will include an outdoor swimming pool and six distinct dining outlets, providing varied culinary options for guests.
Spa and wellness facilities will be a highlight of the new hotel. A multi-level spa will house a yoga studio, reflexology chambers, a traditional hammam, a whirlpool, and a salon, delivering a comprehensive wellness experience on-site.
Mövenpick first entered the Indian market in 2011 with the opening of Mövenpick Hotel Bangalore. The brand continued its growth with plans to open Mövenpick Dharamshala Resort & Spa, a 124-room resort in the Kangra Valley of northern India. That property promises scenic views of the Himalaya Mountains and further represents Mövenpick’s focus on combining comfortable accommodations with distinctive local settings.
