Luxury Stay at The Langham London – Central Thames River Hotel

Arrival/Check-In: My overnight flight arrived early and I reached The Langham, London before 9 a.m. I was directed to the club-level reception on the third floor. The staff in the club lounge welcomed me warmly, found a table, and I was able to enjoy a full breakfast while the reception completed my check-in paperwork. The room was not ready immediately, so I set out for the day and returned in the afternoon. By that time my luggage had been delivered to the room and I picked up my keys at the lounge.

Guest Quarters: The Langham, London offers 333 guestrooms, five serviced apartments with kitchens and 42 private suites. Traveling with a friend, we stayed in a room with two twin beds separated by a nightstand. A small sitting area beneath the window featured a round table and chair opposite a desk and TV credenza. The door lock has a distinctive design that can look unfamiliar at first glance but works properly. The room opens into a compact entryway with built-in closet and storage. The highlight was the large marble bathroom, complete with a towel warmer, a deep soaking tub and a separate shower — a welcome comfort after a long flight and a day of sightseeing. Depending on the room category, in-room amenities may include a Nespresso machine, complimentary Wi‑Fi, the Langham Blissful bed, MP3 connectivity, a media hub for TVs and laptops, complimentary newspapers and international power sockets.
