Solmar Hotels & Resorts has rebranded its Cabo San Lucas property as Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes, formerly Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas. The refreshed name and image emphasize the resort’s natural setting while preserving the high standard of service and guest experiences the brand is known for.
The resort is undergoing a short-term expansion that will bring the total room count to 598 within roughly two years. This growth is part of a broader development plan that will expand culinary and entertainment options across the property. Planned additions include a sports bar equipped with virtual reality simulators and a menu focused on the most beloved dishes of Baja California Sur. These upgrades and new features will be introduced progressively over the next six months.

Set against the distinctive backdrop of Baja California’s desert landscape, Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes sits among golden sand dunes and benefits from dramatic ocean waves and panoramic sea views. The resort blends natural beauty with a broad range of amenities, including multiple restaurants, several pools, and a seawater lagoon that offers water activities, slides, and a full-service spa delivering wellness treatments.
Alongside the rebrand, Solmar Hotels & Resorts announced Pablo Marconi as the resort’s new general manager. Marconi brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience and a clear enthusiasm for elevating guest service.

“Becoming part of the Solmar family, just as Pacific Dunes is transforming, has been a pleasant surprise and also a welcoming challenge. We both begin this new journey with a commitment to further elevate the level of service for our guests who come to enjoy Los Cabos,” Marconi said.
The resort caters to a wide range of travelers—families, couples, seniors, and young adults—offering varied common areas, dining venues, and activities designed to create a restful and memorable vacation in paradise.
