Expect two new Meliá hotels to open in the Middle East this year. Meliá Hotels International has announced properties launching in Morocco and the United Arab Emirates in 2018.
Desert Palm Hotel, Dubai
Located about 20 minutes from downtown Dubai, the Desert Palm Dubai is an exclusive new property designed for discerning travelers. The hotel offers 38 elegant rooms, luxurious suites and private villas, together with a variety of dining venues serving refined cuisine. Guests can choose from extensive health and wellness offerings designed to refresh and rejuvenate.
The resort sits alongside a 5-star polo field, where visitors can ride, take lessons or simply watch professional matches. The property blends Spanish influence with Mediterranean design and high-end facilities, creating a boutique atmosphere with personalized service and attention to detail.
Sol by Meliá, Sol Marrakesh
Sol Marrakesh marks Meliá’s fifth hotel in Morocco. The brand is known for combining comfort and style for business travelers and families seeking leisure stays.
Located in Palmeraie and recently renovated, Sol Marrakesh offers a private, upscale retreat while remaining conveniently close to the airport and Marrakech’s city center. The hotel provides easy access to local attractions and transport links.
Accommodations include 25 family rooms and more than 200 well-appointed guestrooms spread across more than 14 acres of indoor and outdoor space. The resort’s amenities are extensive: a large swimming pool, tennis courts, fitness center, a soccer field, kids’ club, nightclub and nearby golf facilities. Guests can also enjoy spa treatments or relax on the sun deck.
Both openings underline Meliá Hotels International’s expansion in the region, offering a mix of boutique luxury, family-friendly amenities and sports-oriented facilities that cater to a wide range of travelers.
