King David Wine Bar Elevates Jerusalem’s Nightlife Scene

The King David Hotel in Jerusalem, long renowned for its luxurious accommodations and impeccable service, has introduced a new wine bar. Located as an extension of the Oriental Bar in the hotel lobby, this intimate venue highlights wines exclusively from Israel’s celebrated wine regions, offering guests a curated taste of the country’s viticulture.

The wine list features 65 carefully selected labels chosen through a collaboration between the hotel’s sommelier and beverage manager, Daniel Gidey, and international wine consultant and sommelier Gal Zohar. The selection changes every two months, ensuring a fresh rotation that spotlights both established producers and rising local talent.

Guests can take part in guided tasting sessions led by knowledgeable staff, and those who prefer to explore independently can assemble custom tasting flights from the rotating menu. To enhance the tasting experience, executive chef David Biton has created a menu of thoughtfully paired hors d’oeuvres. Offerings include baked za’atar focaccia, house-smoked salmon, and a selection of cheeses featuring both Israeli and international varieties.

Designed for wine enthusiasts and casual visitors alike, the new wine bar aims to create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere where guests can discover regional varietals and learn about local winemaking traditions. The bar’s focus on Israeli wines complements the hotel’s broader commitment to showcasing regional flavors and culinary craftsmanship.

Situated approximately a 15-minute walk from the historic Old City, The King David Hotel provides a convenient and elegant base for guests exploring Jerusalem’s cultural and historical attractions. The new wine bar adds another distinctive amenity to the hotel’s offerings, inviting visitors to savor Israeli wines in a sophisticated setting.
