Kimpton Debuts Stylish New Hotel on Manhattan’s Park Avenue

Kimpton Ashbel New York–Park Avenue opens in January 2026 in Midtown Manhattan as the newest New York City property from Kimpton. Housed in a landmark building completed in 1928 during the Beaux-Arts era—originally known as the Doral Park Avenue Hotel—the property has been thoughtfully renovated to meet contemporary traveler expectations while honoring its historic character.

The luxury lifestyle hotel embraces a townhouse-inspired design, combining layered warm woods, soft neutral tones and gold accents for an inviting, refined atmosphere. Public spaces showcase bespoke artwork and custom-designed furniture created exclusively for Kimpton Ashbel, reinforcing a curated, residential feel.

On the ground floor, a sequence of reimagined residential-style rooms includes a welcoming foyer, a living room and a family room. The living room centers on a stone fireplace, built-in seating and a floating banquette that opens into an airy, flexible gathering area. A dedicated library offers a calm retreat with a selection of Assouline and Taschen volumes, while rotating mixed-media works from SoHo Art Gallery add personality and texture throughout the space.
