K9 Jets Debuts Pay-Per-Seat Private Flights for Pets

Tired of receiving the cold shoulder from your cat or watching your dog sigh every time the suitcases appear? You’re not alone. British-based K9 Jets, with more than 25 years of industry experience, has created a solution for pet owners who want to travel with their animals in comfort and style. Their fleet of charter Gulfstream G-IVSP and G-V heavy jets, operated by licensed U.S. carriers, flies to international destinations such as Dubai, Melbourne, Paris, Frankfurt, Geneva and Milan, and offers domestic routes including round-trip service between Los Angeles and New Jersey. U.S. operators hold Argus Platinum ratings, and each aircraft can accommodate up to nine passengers and their pets.

“After launching our boutique private jet brokerage, G6 Aviation, in 2021, we began receiving requests from clients seeking alternatives to traditional pet shipping—particularly options that would allow them to share the cost of a private jet while flying transatlantic with their pets,” said Adam Golder, founder and client director of K9 Jets.

K9 Jets’ model eliminates the need for dog crates in many cases. A single seat purchase typically covers up to two pets that each weigh less than 50 pounds, or one pet over 51 pounds. If you’re traveling with two larger pets, two seats must be purchased. Cabins are fitted with comfortable leather seating, an open bar, snacks, 110-volt outlets, complimentary domestic Gogo Wi‑Fi and a worldwide satellite phone to keep you connected en route.

Travel with fewer constraints: K9 Jets advertises no size restrictions or quarantine on their services and eliminates long waits at customs and security lines. Cats are required to travel in carriers, while dogs—depending on size—may sit on your lap or rest beside your seat. As with any international or domestic trip, there are specific health and documentation requirements for animals; passengers should consult the operator for the latest entry rules and paperwork needed for their destination.

“We realized this service didn’t exist in the market but was clearly needed, so we launched K9 Jets—the world’s first pet-dedicated, pay-per-seat private jet service,” Golder added. “Since then, we’ve expanded our destination network and have flown thousands of pets and their owners around the world. Demand continues to grow, and so do requests for new routes, prompting us to increase the frequency of several popular services.”
