For the third consecutive year, JetBlue is returning its premium Mint service to Palm Springs (PSP) for the holiday season. Daily nonstop flights from New York (JFK) will operate from Dec. 21 through Jan. 3. JetBlue’s Mint is the only lie-flat premium service on this route, and the airline transports more passengers between New York and Palm Springs than any other carrier. Since 2016, passenger traffic on the route has increased by 48 percent.
Departures from New York are scheduled at 6:30 p.m., with arrivals in Palm Springs at 9:46 p.m. The westbound return departs Palm Springs at 10:58 p.m., arriving back in New York at 6:59 a.m. the next morning.
“With Palm Springs Mint flights, customers seeking a West Coast warmup or an East Coast escape can elevate their travel this holiday season with lie-flat seats, tapas-style dining, curated wines and more. Nothing says style and service like JetBlue Mint between New York and Palm Springs,” said Marty St. George, JetBlue’s executive vice president of commercial and planning.
Scott White, president and CEO of the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau, noted that JetBlue’s seasonal Mint offering highlights the personalized service and luxury both the airline and the destination are known for. “For a third season, JetBlue will provide easy, nonstop access for East Coast travelers, delivering visitors to our oasis feeling relaxed and pampered and ready to enjoy perfect weather, outdoor adventure, world-class events and more,” he said.
To celebrate the seasonal service, the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau is sponsoring a JetBlue giveaway. The prize includes round-trip travel from New York to Palm Springs for the 2018 Palm Springs International Film Festival in January, with accommodations and festival tickets included. The Bureau will announce further giveaway details on its social media channels in November.
