JetBlue Airways has named Jim Sullivan as its new vice president of flight operations.
Sullivan joins JetBlue to lead the airline’s flight operations and flight standards, reporting to Warren Christie, senior vice president of safety, security & air operations. He will be based at JetBlue’s main support center in Long Island City, New York.
With nearly 30 years in aviation, Sullivan brings extensive operational experience. He spent the bulk of his career at Frontier Airlines and most recently served as chief operating officer for Surf Air’s Great Lakes Division.
“Jim’s broad industry experience, array of senior leadership roles, and commitment to servant leadership is an impressive combination,” said Christie. “I’m confident that he will lead with JetBlue’s values in mind, with a focus on strengthening and growing the flight operations team and guiding us to the next chapter in JetBlue’s growth.”
“I am excited for the opportunity to join this much-admired airline,” Sullivan said. “I look forward to working alongside JetBlue’s pilots and contributing to the airline’s continued success.”
