Irvine Marriott Announces $23M Renovation and Upgrades

For many hotel guests, atmosphere is everything. That idea inspired the recent $23 million guestroom renovation at the Irvine Marriott. The redesigned rooms blend modern minimalism with a calming California coastal aesthetic, featuring custom artwork, hardwood floors, contemporary light fixtures, and a soothing color palette of white, brown, and blue.

Beyond aesthetic upgrades, the renovations focus on improved functionality. Workspaces were expanded with larger desks and ergonomic chairs to better accommodate business travelers. Guests will also find more generous luggage storage and fully updated bathrooms with marble countertops and illuminated vanity mirrors.

Scott McCoy, general manager of the Irvine Marriott, said the renovation represents the culmination of years of planning: “This multimillion-dollar renovation has been years in development and it’ll be so rewarding to display our vision and hard work to the public. We want to enable visitors to have a brilliant travel experience and blur the lines between work and play. This is just the beginning of what we have in store.”

The hotel has additional projects in the pipeline, including refreshed event spaces and an updated exterior for the M Club, the exclusive lounge for Marriott Rewards Gold and Platinum Elite members.

Conveniently located near Disneyland and South Coast Plaza in Southern California, the Irvine Marriott offers an on-site restaurant and bar, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool—amenities designed to help guests enjoy the West Coast climate year-round.
