Taiwan-based airline EVA Air is introducing new onboard meals, sleepwear and amenity kits this year as part of a series of collaborations with high-end designers and chefs.
The new offerings were created in partnership with luxury brands Rimowa and Salvatore Ferragamo, acclaimed chef Huang Ching-biao, and fashion designer Jason Wu.
Several cabin classes will receive updated menus for 2019. Royal Laurel class passengers on routes from Taipei (TPE) to Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK) and San Francisco (SFO) will be served a menu developed by Chef Huang Ching-biao featuring dishes such as pork shoulder with cucumber and a Thai-style shrimp appetizer; a golden chicken and seafood soup; and braised abalone in oyster sauce accompanied by fried rice and caramelized olives.
Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel passengers on flights from Taipei to Brisbane (BNE), Paris (CDG) and Vienna (VIE) can expect a new seasonal dessert selection created in collaboration with Italian pastry chef Andrea Bonaffini.
As a welcome refreshment after departure, passengers will be offered a mixed fruit juice blend showcasing Taiwanese Irwin mangoes alongside passion fruit, orange and carrot.
New sleepwear designed by Taiwanese-Canadian designer Jason Wu will be available to Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel passengers. In addition, upgraded amenity kits from German luggage maker Rimowa and Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo are planned for Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel travelers on long-haul overnight flights this year.
These enhancements reflect EVA Air’s focus on elevating the inflight experience across premium cabins through collaborations with notable figures in fashion and gastronomy, bringing regionally inspired flavors and refined comfort to long-haul service.
