Inside Doha’s New Ultra-Luxury Resort: A First Look

Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha will open next month on a private island, offering a luxury waterfront experience. The property, Kempinski’s second hotel in the region and seventh in the Gulf, features 281 guestrooms and suites alongside extensive meeting and event facilities totaling 11,538 square feet. Guests will find a wide range of recreational amenities, including a private sandy beach set within a sheltered bay, outdoor swimming pools, water sports options, a tennis court, yacht jetties and a full-service spa. Dining options span six restaurants, two cafés, al fresco beachside dining, a stylish lounge and a rooftop lounge with expansive open-air terraces.

“This is an important milestone as we anticipate welcoming our first guests this coming December and the wider community in Qatar, as our facilities progressively open,” said Wissam Suleiman, general manager, Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha. “Our waterfront destination showcases the finest of European luxury, heritage and architecture blended with traditional Arabian elements. From the opulent and grand rooms and suites, to our impeccable service standards, this hotel is set to become a benchmark for bespoke luxury in Qatar and the wider region.”

The new hotel aims to combine classic European elegance with local Arabian character, delivering personalized service in a setting designed for both relaxation and business. The meeting and event spaces are suited to corporate functions, weddings and private gatherings, supported by catering and event planning teams. With multiple dining venues, guests can expect a variety of culinary experiences ranging from casual café fare to refined, signature restaurant menus and outdoor seaside service.

Recreational offerings emphasize the seaside location: the private beach and bay provide sheltered swimming and sunbathing areas, while the outdoor pools offer alternative spaces for leisure. Water sports facilities are available for guests seeking active pursuits, and the yacht jetties make the resort accessible to visitors arriving by boat. Those seeking wellness and relaxation have access to the on-site spa, which complements fitness and leisure amenities.

Accommodation at the hotel includes a mix of room categories and suite types, many designed to highlight views of the bay or the city skyline and to reflect the property’s blend of European and Arabian influences. The interiors are intended to be luxurious and comfortable, with attention to detail in furnishings, finishes and guest services.

As the hotel opens its doors, management plans a phased rollout of services and facilities to ensure a seamless guest experience. The combination of waterfront location, diverse dining, leisure and event facilities, and Kempinski’s established standards of service positions Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha as a major new addition to Qatar’s luxury hospitality scene.
