Immersive Culinary Experience at The St. Regis Venice: Cook & Dine

Recently renovated The St. Regis Venice, perched on the Grand Canal, has launched a unique culinary experience that takes guests on morning market rounds with Executive Chef Giuseppe Ricci, followed by a chef-led cooking class and lunch prepared in the hotel kitchen.

“As they sample fresh produce from the islands and taste Italian classics, guests will gain a deeper appreciation for the region’s culinary traditions,” said Patrizia Hofer, general manager of The St. Regis Venice. “Chef Ricci is a highly creative culinary leader who transforms local ingredients into refined dishes that celebrate the authentic flavours of Venice. His expertise and passion shine through in every plate.”

Guests join Chef Ricci on visits to the nearby islands of Vignole and Murano to source seasonal seafood, vegetables and herbs that define Italian cooking. The itinerary includes encounters with local fishermen and opportunities to select the catch of the day. Born and raised in Puglia, Ricci oversees the culinary direction at Gio’s Restaurant and brings a deep knowledge of Italian cuisine to the program.

The full experience, “A Day with Chef Giuseppe Ricci,” starts at 600 euros. It begins with a stop on Vignole Island to choose vegetables and herbs, then moves to Murano for seafood and traditional snacks at a local cicchetteria. Afterwards, guests return to the hotel kitchen for a hands-on masterclass—ingredients, equipment and recipe cards are provided—followed by lunch at the Chef’s Table with Chef Ricci. Private boat transport is included.
