Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced plans to open its first property in Phuket, Thailand. Slated to welcome guests later this year, Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort will be situated on Phuket’s west coast, overlooking Kamala Bay and the Andaman Sea. The resort will feature 202 guestrooms, three dining outlets, a club lounge, a fitness center, a swimming pool, a spa and more than 4,300 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.
The new resort expands Hyatt’s presence in Thailand, joining the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin. “We are excited to bring the Hyatt Regency brand to one of the region’s most sought-after resort destinations,” said Ratnesh Verma, senior vice president of real estate and development for Asia Pacific at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. He added that Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort follows the recent and upcoming openings of Park Hyatt Siem Reap and Park Hyatt Changbaishan, underscoring Hyatt’s focus on growing its leisure offerings and strengthening guest loyalty across the region.
Located on a scenic stretch of coastline, the resort aims to serve both leisure travelers and business groups seeking a tropical setting with modern amenities. The 4,300+ square feet of event space will accommodate meetings, conferences and social gatherings, while the on-site dining venues and wellness facilities will cater to guests looking to relax or entertain without leaving the property.
As Phuket continues to recover and evolve as a top travel destination, the introduction of a Hyatt Regency property adds a new international resort option that blends the brand’s global standards with local character. With comprehensive facilities designed for recreation, wellness and events, Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort is positioned to appeal to families, couples and business travelers alike.
