Hyatt Launches Homes & Hideaways: New Luxury Home Rental Service

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has announced a new short-term home rental platform, Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt, which will let World of Hyatt members book a curated selection of private homes directly. The platform will expand members’ options beyond traditional hotel rooms and integrate residential stays into the loyalty program.

The collection will showcase a diverse range of private rentals across the United States, including beachfront retreats, mountainside ski chalets, country chateaus, cozy cottages, and larger village-style properties. The portfolio is expected to grow to include modern townhouses, flats, apartments and penthouses, offering a variety of layouts and locations to suit different travel needs.

One notable feature of Homes & Hideaways is that World of Hyatt members will be able to earn and redeem points for stays in these private homes, expanding the value of the loyalty program to cover a broader range of accommodation types.

The platform reflects Hyatt’s strategy to offer more flexible stay experiences that match the preferences of different travelers. By adding residential-style rentals, Hyatt aims to serve guests who seek more space, privacy, or home-like amenities while still benefiting from a trusted brand and loyalty benefits.

Hyatt has tailored the initial rollout to include residential rental accommodations in popular U.S. destinations, such as Colorado and Hawai‘i, with plans to expand the portfolio over time. To support the platform’s launch, Hyatt selected Lowe, a qualified company, to acquire and operate the existing rental management business previously known as Destination Residences Management. Key DRM properties in major U.S. markets will be integrated into Homes & Hideaways.

The introduction of Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt follows the company’s broader expansion plans across North America, reinforcing Hyatt’s commitment to growing its presence and diversifying its offerings through 2025. By combining short-term private home rentals with the World of Hyatt loyalty framework, Hyatt seeks to provide members with more choices and seamless access to a wider array of travel experiences.
