Hyatt Expands U.S. Portfolio: New Hotel Openings and Acquisitions

Hyatt is expanding its footprint in the United States with a second Hyatt Regency in Minnesota. Scheduled to open in early 2016, the Hyatt Regency Bloomington Central Station will be situated within Bloomington Central Station, an urban village centered on the city’s light rail hub. The new property will feature 302 guestrooms and suites, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and multiple dining venues. For meetings and events, the hotel will provide more than 17,000 square feet of flexible space, including a grand ballroom suitable for conferences, weddings, and other large gatherings.

Located alongside the light rail, the Hyatt Regency Bloomington Central Station will give guests convenient, direct access to downtown Minneapolis’ business and entertainment districts as well as to both terminals at Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport. This transit-oriented location aims to serve both leisure travelers and business guests, offering easy connections to corporate offices, cultural attractions, and the airport without the need for a car.

Guests can expect contemporary design and Hyatt’s signature service standards throughout the property. The combination of well-appointed guestrooms, on-site amenities such as dining, a pool, and fitness facilities, plus extensive event space, positions the hotel as a versatile option for travelers attending meetings, conferences, and social events in the Twin Cities area.
