Fly Emirates: Pay to Access Dubai Airport Lounges

Emirates has begun offering paid access to its airport lounges at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Skywards Blue members can purchase a four-hour pass to the airline’s business-class lounges for $100, or opt for first-class lounge access for $200.

Silver and Gold members who already enjoy complimentary entry to business-class facilities now have the option to upgrade to the first-class lounges for $100. In addition, guests traveling with Gold or Silver cardholders may gain lounge access for an additional fee, regardless of their travel class. These pay-per-visit options apply only to Emirates-operated lounges at DXB and are available to passengers on Emirates flights or eligible Qantas codeshare services.

An Emirates spokesperson explained the move as a response to strong customer demand for guest access to the airline’s lounge network. The new payment option allows more travelers to use Emirates’ premium facilities without needing a specific ticket class or elite status.

Emirates recently invested $11 million to renovate its Concourse B lounge at Dubai International Airport. The redesign introduced three distinct areas: a Costa Coffee barista experience, a health-focused zone featuring Voss water and healthier menu choices, and a dedicated Moët & Chandon Champagne lounge, delivering a range of food and beverage options to suit diverse preferences.

Lounge access is subject to capacity limits, so entry cannot be guaranteed during busy periods. Payments must be made by credit or debit card; cash and Skywards miles redemptions are not accepted for pay-per-visit entry.
