Private jet operator Flexjet is introducing Global Access, a flexible lease program that lets travelers book large-cabin aircraft for long-haul international flights with an hourly rate that decreases the longer the flight. Available to both new and existing clients, Global Access does not require purchasing a fractional share; instead, participants gain access to Flexjet’s entire large-cabin fleet and are assigned the most suitable aircraft for each trip.
“We began offering Global Access on a test basis in early 2015 and have refined it since then based on feedback from fractional owners and corporate flight departments. As we publicly launch Global Access, the program is designed to serve a segment of the private-jet market that needs flexible access to large-cabin aircraft for nonstop international travel,” said Michael Silvestro, CEO of Flexjet.
Silvestro added that Global Access will appeal to fractional owners and corporate flight departments that require international-range, large-cabin aircraft but do not have enough demand to justify whole-aircraft ownership. “Global Access makes large-cabin international private-jet travel more accessible than ever. With responsive pricing, we pass along savings to travelers by pricing long-distance flights in more cost-effective cruising modes,” he said.
Participants can select from a range of current and soon-to-be-delivered aircraft in the Flexjet fleet, including the Bombardier Global Express and several Gulfstream models such as the G450, G500 and G650, as well as the Aerion AS2.
