Benefits Program Features Unlimited Wi-Fi at Over 1 Million Hotspots
American Express and Boingo Wireless offer eligible Card Members a powerful travel perk. Through the Boingo American Express Preferred Plan, qualifying Card Members gain access to fast, complimentary Wi‑Fi at more than one million hotspots worldwide. Whether streaming media, sharing photos, or handling work on the go, this benefit provides reliable, high‑speed connections in airports, hotels, restaurants, cafés and retail locations.
This Boingo advantage is one of several travel benefits available to Platinum Card® Members and other participating Cardholders designed to save time, reduce costs and simplify travel. Cards such as the Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express include free access to Boingo Wi‑Fi. After enrollment, Card Members can connect up to four devices simultaneously without worrying about data caps or roaming charges.
“Travelers continue to take advantage of the Boingo AMEX program because Wi‑Fi is the ideal travel companion,” said Dawn Callahan, chief marketing officer, Boingo. “In addition to accessing premium hotspots globally, the program includes connectivity through Passpoint, a Next Generation Hotspot (NGH) technology that automatically connects travelers to Wi‑Fi networks with no log‑ins or passwords required—an incredible feature that makes public Wi‑Fi easy, seamless and secure.”
Boingo has been recognized repeatedly by frequent travelers, earning multiple “Best WiFi Service” honors in Global Traveler’s GT Tested reader survey awards.
