Experience Wildflower Programming at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch

Drawing inspiration from Colorado’s profusion of wildflowers that peak between June and August, The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch presents its Summer Wildflower Program. Starting June 18, guests can immerse themselves in Colorado’s natural beauty through a range of curated experiences, including daily nature hikes, wildflower-infused spa treatments, specialty cocktails and more.

At the Bachelor Gulch Spa, visitors can choose from several restorative treatments highlighted by the Scenic Serenity experience. This offering pairs a 90-minute guided hike led by an expert resort naturalist with a 90-minute signature massage. The massage incorporates a selection of wildflower essential oils and is priced at $295, with a two-guest minimum required.

After the spa, guests can visit Buffalos at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch to sample a trio of handcrafted floral cocktails available for the summer season. The lavender cucumber spritz blends lavender, cucumber, lemon, Woody Creek gin and seltzer for a bright, refreshing sip. The Blossoming Bouquet combines Ketel One Citroen, white wine, orange blossom water, lemon juice and simple syrup for a fragrant, balanced cocktail. The Rhubarb Bellini pairs Moët & Chandon Champagne with St. Germain elderflower liqueur and rhubarb syrup for a bubbly, floral finish.

Naturalist-led programming at the resort includes daily group hikes, mountainside bird-watching sessions and classic campfire experiences with s’mores. The Whiskey and Woodburning workshop gives participants the chance to craft a keepsake by etching a custom design into a wooden cheese board or coaster set using a wood-burning tool. For a more relaxed creative option, Paint and Pour events invite guests to sip wine while painting their own artworks.

Private excursions and tailored experiences are also available. Canine Adventure Hikes let guests explore trails with Bachelor or Belle, the resort’s resident dogs. Sunset Strolls combine an evening walk with stargazing opportunities. Village-to-Village Hikes travel the scenic route to Beaver Creek Village, and Perfectly Paired Picnics include a guided hike followed by a gourmet outdoor lunch designed for an intimate mountain dining experience.

The Summer Wildflower Program emphasizes connection to the landscape through mindful outdoor activity, creative workshops and seasonal flavors inspired by Colorado’s alpine meadows. Whether seeking active exploration, relaxation or hands-on activities, guests can find programming suited to families, couples and solo travelers looking to experience the region’s short but spectacular wildflower season.
