Experience Miami Beach Luxury at the New Metropolitan by COMO

Italian designer Paola Navone has brought her distinctive, modern sensibility to the interiors of the new Metropolitan by COMO in Miami Beach, scheduled to open this December. Subtle mint greens and soft greys accent chrome and white marble finishes, honoring the historic 1930s building’s original Art Deco core. The hotel sits on Collins Avenue, in the heart of Miami’s celebrated Art Deco district.

Water plays a central role at the brand’s first U.S. property, which features a private dock, direct beach access and an exclusive pool. Dining options will include The Traymore, highlighting Florida’s abundant seafood, a poolside restaurant offering wood-fired pizzas, The Met Bar and a rooftop juice bar with custom blends ideal for a post-workout refreshment. The rooftop will also house a hydrotherapy pool, four treatment rooms and complimentary daily yoga and Pilates classes as part of the COMO Shambhala Urban Escape spa program.

Thoughtfully designed public and private spaces emphasize light, texture and material contrasts—polished metals with soft textiles and marble—creating a contemporary interpretation of the building’s architectural heritage. Navone’s palette and carefully selected furnishings are intended to provide calm and sophistication while reflecting Miami Beach’s coastal setting and lively design culture.

Located steps from the shoreline and surrounded by the neighborhood’s distinctive architecture, the Metropolitan by COMO aims to blend resort amenities with urban convenience. Guests can expect a curated hospitality experience that includes wellness programming, refined dining and direct access to Miami Beach’s sand and surf, making the hotel well suited for both leisure and business travelers seeking a design-forward stay.

For visitors interested in the area’s architecture and style, the hotel’s placement in the Art Deco district provides easy access to the neighborhood’s iconic streetscape and cultural attractions, while the property itself offers modern comforts and a strong focus on health and relaxation through its spa and movement classes.

Additional on-site features and services are designed to complement the building’s restored historic character while delivering the contemporary facilities and attentive service associated with the COMO brand.
