Called the Adventurer in Residence, the recipient will join Exodus’ small-group guided tours for 50 days in 2024. The prize includes flights, accommodations and curated experiences on a selection of Exodus itineraries. For five decades Exodus has led expert-guided trips to more than 100 countries, with itineraries spanning cycling, hiking, wildlife watching, cultural discovery and other active travel themes. Sustainability and regenerative travel practices are central to the company’s approach, reflected in trips such as Chimps & Gorillas of Uganda, the Chianti Walking and Wine tour, and the Iceland Northern Lights program.

Applications are open until April 15; the successful candidate will be announced in May. To apply, candidates submit a short video and complete a brief questionnaire. The Adventurer in Residence will document highlights of their journey on Exodus’ social media channels, sharing authentic moments and insights from the road. Exodus is looking for someone with a strong passion for travel, an appreciation for the natural world, a sense of adventure and the ability to communicate memorable experiences to an online audience.

This anniversary program underscores Exodus’ commitment to meaningful travel that connects people with places and supports local communities. The Radical Sabbatical offers a rare chance to explore diverse landscapes and cultures while traveling with knowledgeable guides and like-minded fellow travelers. For applicants who love active exploration and storytelling, this 50-day itinerary provides a platform to experience and share deeply immersive journeys across multiple continents.
