Etihad Completes Full Inflight Wi-Fi Rollout

Etihad Airways has reached a significant milestone by equipping all 24 of its Boeing 777 passenger aircraft with mobile and internet connectivity, making it easier for travelers to stay connected while flying. The airline plans to extend Wi‑Fi to its entire fleet of 89 passenger aircraft in the coming months, positioning Etihad as the first carrier in the region—and one of the few globally—to offer mobile and internet services across every aircraft in its fleet. Currently, Etihad’s fleet comprises 28 Airbus A320s, 26 A330s, 11 A340s and 24 Boeing 777 family aircraft.

“Onboard connectivity is an important competitive differentiator for our guests, and we continuously introduce new communications technology to enhance their travel experience,” said Peter Baumgartner, Chief Commercial Officer at Etihad. “The rollout of our state‑of‑the‑art connectivity solution will provide our modern, connected guests with a seamless and reliable experience at 35,000 feet—comparable to what they expect at home or at work.”
