Enjoy Afternoon Tea at Merrion Hotel: Reserve Your Spot Today

Available for your enjoyment through the end of March, the elegant Merrion Hotel in the heart of Dublin has expanded its distinguished tea offerings to include a selection of Tchi (pronounced “tchee”). Inspired by the ancient Chinese concept of chi, the universal life energy, these wellness-focused infusions are served in the hotel’s Drawing Rooms, Cellar Bar and Tethra Spa. The Merrion was the first hotel in Ireland to employ a Tea Master, and current Tea Master Laura McGinn—trained at the international Ronnefeldt Tea Academy—selected the Tchi blends for their flavor profiles and potential health benefits.

Choose from these carefully crafted infusions:

  • Rose and Honey Tea: Made with dried rose petals, honey, rose water and red dates, this infusion is served hot or chilled. Soothing and uplifting, it is traditionally used to calm the nervous system and may help relieve insomnia, low mood and fatigue.
  • Date, Longan and Goji Tea: A warming blend of red dates, dried longan (a Southeast Asian fruit) and goji berries. Served warm, it is valued for its comforting qualities and is believed to support circulation, reduce inflammation and alleviate stress-related sleeplessness.
  • Jasmine Tea: Prepared from loose-leaf tea scented with dried jasmine blossoms, this aromatic infusion is known for its calming effect and digestive support. It is also associated with benefits such as improved cholesterol management and potential assistance with weight control when included as part of a balanced lifestyle.

The Tchi range complements the Merrion’s long-standing commitment to tea excellence, offering guests an option that combines delicate flavors with a focus on well-being. Served throughout the hotel’s refined public spaces, these blends provide a pleasant way to relax, recharge and enjoy a moment of calm during a busy day in Dublin.
