Emirates Debuts Luxury Lounge at Cairo Airport: What to Expect

Emirates has opened its 42nd lounge at Cairo International Airport. The new facility occupies 880 square meters and can accommodate up to 152 guests. It offers amenities designed for comfort and convenience, including private shower rooms, a business center, complimentary WiFi, hot and cold buffet selections, leather armchairs and dedicated prayer rooms.

The lounge, located on level 2 of Terminal 2 departures, represented a $3.6 million investment by the carrier. Access is available to passengers traveling in business and first class, as well as Gold and Platinum members of Emirates’ Skywards loyalty program.

“Cairo is our first destination in North Africa with an Emirates Lounge — and it underscores our relentless efforts to enhance the travel experience that we offer to customers not only in the air, but on the ground. We are committed to the highest standards of quality in every aspect of our business and the new Emirates Lounge is a testament to that,” said Mohammed Mattar, divisional senior vice president, Emirates Airport Services.

He added that the lounge aims to support Egypt’s tourism industry while attracting both international visitors and discerning Egyptian travelers with premium services. Egypt remains an important market for Emirates, and this dedicated lounge reflects the airline’s ongoing commitment to improving the airport experience for its customers.
