Dubai International Airport (DBX) and Dubai Duty Free have opened two new Apple stores in Terminal 3. The stores offer approximately 750 and 925 square feet of retail space respectively, with the larger site being the biggest Apple customer experience area ever created inside a travel venue. Both are conveniently situated near gates B15 and A12.
Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free, said the expansion strengthens an already impressive presence: “With the Apple shop program in Concourse B being the largest in any travel retail in the world, this is a very exciting development for Dubai Duty Free and our customers. They will enjoy the design, layout and products, along with a first-class customer experience and product knowledge.” The statement highlights the focus on design and service that passengers can expect.
Staff at both locations completed extensive training programs to deliver a consistently high level of customer service tailored specifically to the airport environment. The combination of carefully designed retail space and skilled personnel aims to provide a premium shopping experience for travelers, whether they are browsing accessories or purchasing the latest Apple devices.
Apple sales at Dubai International have already shown positive results since the launches. In the weeks following the openings, airport Apple sales increased by 8 percent. Based on current trends, sales are projected to reach $61 million this year, reflecting strong demand and the strategic value of enhanced retail offerings within the terminal.
The arrival of these new Apple stores reinforces Dubai Duty Free’s commitment to expanding its technology and lifestyle portfolio while enhancing passenger amenities. Positioned in a high-traffic international hub, the stores serve both departing and arriving travelers, offering convenience, a full product range, and knowledgeable assistance that aligns with Dubai Duty Free’s reputation for premium retail experiences.
