Disney Suite Debuts at Hôtel de Glace: Inside the Magical Arctic Stay

Walt Disney Studios has created a special suite at Quebec City’s Hotel de Glace inspired by the studio’s animated hit Frozen. The project celebrates the film’s Blu-ray release and draws on the movie’s reinterpretation of Hans Christian Andersen’s tale, The Snow Queen.

Open through March 23, the suite is crafted entirely from sculpted ice and snow and recreates the bedrooms of sisters Anna and Elsa. Developed under the supervision of the film’s art director, the installation also includes a Frozen-themed activity cave, offering guests an immersive experience that mirrors the film’s look and atmosphere.

Located about 10 minutes from downtown Quebec City, Hotel de Glace has been one of the region’s signature attractions since it opened in 2001. Each winter—from January 3 through March 23—the hotel showcases vaulted snow architecture, crystalline ice sculptures and seasonal installations that draw nearly a million visitors over the years.

The collaboration between Walt Disney Studios and Hotel de Glace brings together cinematic design and seasonal craftsmanship, providing fans and travelers a distinctive way to engage with the world of Frozen while enjoying the hotel’s unique temporary architecture.
