Corinthia London Debuts Tranquil Garden Lounge Experience

A new garden lounge has opened in the heart of the iconic Corinthia Hotel London, offering an attractive al fresco setting for dining, small gatherings and late-night drinks throughout the summer. The outdoor space is decorated with handcrafted mosaics in gold, cream, red, terracotta and grey that adorn columns and plinths, created by French artist Mathilde Jonquiere. An elegant glass canopy shelters the area, while an exotic selection of terrarium plants adds a lush, atmospheric touch.

The Garden Lounge serves an all-day dining menu with a variety of meals and light bites. A well-stocked humidor features more than 53 cigar varieties, and a new bar area offers a wide selection of wine and spirits, including 62 types of whisky. These features make the venue suitable for relaxed daytime dining or sophisticated evening socializing.

“A living bar, intricate mosaic art and a new signature palette make the Garden Lounge a wonderful outdoor space in the centre of London and give the Corinthia Hotel a very special environment in which to socialise,” said Simon Rawlings, creative director of the David Collins Studio, the design firm responsible for the space.

Designed to combine comfort and style, the lounge balances classical craftsmanship with modern hospitality. The mosaics provide a distinctive visual identity while the glass canopy ensures the space remains inviting regardless of the weather. The terrarium planting introduces greenery and texture, creating a calm, secluded atmosphere amid the city.

Practical amenities are built around this aesthetic: the all-day menu accommodates varied tastes and schedules, from morning coffees and light lunches to evening plates meant for sharing. The cigar humidor and extensive whisky selection cater to connoisseurs and those seeking a refined nightcap, while the wine list and spirits selection support more casual drinking and conversation.

Located centrally within the Corinthia Hotel, the Garden Lounge is positioned as a versatile destination for guests and local visitors alike. It suits intimate meetings, casual catch-ups and small celebrations, all set against the backdrop of bespoke mosaic art and a thoughtfully designed outdoor environment. The combination of artisanal details, botanical elements and a comprehensive beverage offering aims to create a memorable hospitality experience in central London.
