Boutique hotel brand Brown Hotels has expanded its portfolio with the opening of Brown Beach House Croatia, situated in Trogir on the Adriatic coast. Housed in a building that once functioned as a tobacco shipment station, the property has been reimagined with a mid-century resort aesthetic. Designer Saar Zafrir emphasized warm wood tones and vintage accents throughout the 25 guestrooms and suites, creating an intimate and stylish retreat.
The outdoor areas are designed for relaxation and scenic views. A long infinity pool is bordered by black-and-white tiles that subtly reference the region’s layered history, while an expansive sundeck offers an ideal spot to unwind and gaze across the Adriatic Sea. Guests also have private beach access, and a beach club with outdoor lounge seating and wait service was planned to open in summer 2017.
Inside, the hotel offers several social and dining spaces. A cozy lobby library provides a quiet place to read or work, while the Cocktail Bar serves handcrafted drinks in a refined setting. Cartina restaurant focuses on local seafood and fish dishes, showcasing fresh, regional ingredients prepared with a contemporary touch.
Development plans included expanding the property the following summer with 24 additional luxury suites and a full-service spa. The spa was designed to feature a thermal mineral outdoor pool, Jacuzzi baths and a range of body therapies, intended to complement the hotel’s relaxed seaside atmosphere and enhance guests’ wellness experience.
Brown Beach House Croatia combines thoughtful design, comfortable accommodations and waterside amenities to offer a tranquil base for exploring Trogir and the surrounding Adriatic coast. Whether visiting for the beaches, the local cuisine or simply to enjoy the hotel’s mid-century styling, guests can expect a refined, casually elegant stay.
