Condor Tops Germany’s Favorite Airlines: Why Travelers Choose It

For the past three years, Condor has been named the airline with the highest customer satisfaction in Germany, earning the distinction of “Germany’s most popular airline.”

The independent survey placed the leisure carrier ahead of eight competitors, including Lufthansa, Eurowings and Ryanair. Conducted by the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) on behalf of the news channel n-tv, the study evaluated airlines based on customer experience and performance.

“We are very honored to receive this award for the third time against such strong competition,” said Ralf Teckentrup, Condor’s CEO. “Customer feedback matters deeply to us because our daily work is centered on their experience. Our goal is for a guest’s holiday to begin the moment they step on board, and we are pleased that our service, reliability and quality—offered at competitive prices—are being recognized. I also want to thank all our employees for their major contribution to this success.”

The survey collected responses from 1,039 people who had flown at least once in the previous 12 months. Participants rated airlines across several categories including reliability and safety, value for money, service quality, flight availability, handling of complaints, and likelihood of recommending the airline to friends.

This recognition as Germany’s most popular airline is one of several accolades Condor received in 2017. Other honors that year included Best Employer from FOCUS magazine and a place among Germany’s Customer Champions awarded by the F.A.Z. Institute.
