Concord Music Festivals: What’s New This Season

The town of Concord, located in California’s Diablo Valley in the East Bay near the Napa Valley wine region, is preparing for its 28th Annual Music & Market Series. The series runs every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Todos Santos Plaza and features performers such as Annie Sampson and blues singer Shari Puorto.

Concord and the surrounding area offer a variety of summertime events. Nearby Crockett hosts the Sugartown Festival and Street Fair on July 17. On Sept. 17, the 11th annual Old Grove Festival will take place in Armstrong Woods, celebrating music and nature among the redwoods. Beginning June 23, downtown Guerneville Plaza will present the 6th annual Rockin’ the River Series, a lively lineup of concerts along the Russian River.

In Concord, local favorites Jim and Kathy Ocean present creative Astronaut Lullabies star parties, which combine a sunset dinner, a live music concert and after-dark stargazing through a telescope—an intimate, family-friendly evening that blends food, song and astronomy.

These events reflect the region’s vibrant community calendar, bringing together music lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and families for seasonal celebrations. Whether attending a plaza concert, a street fair or a forest festival, visitors can expect a mix of live performance, local food and a welcoming atmosphere.
