Following a successful inaugural event, the Arizona Concours d’Elegance returns to the historic Arizona Biltmore, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, on January 11, 2015.
Frank Lloyd Wright, the celebrated American architect and consulting architect for the Arizona Biltmore, was also an avid car enthusiast. To honor his influence on the hotel’s landmark design, the 2015 Arizona Concours d’Elegance will spotlight The Cars of Frank Lloyd Wright. One featured vehicle will be Wright’s own 1937 AC 16/80 Ace roadster, which he drove during his winter stays in the Phoenix area.
Alongside The Cars of Frank Lloyd Wright, the event will highlight three additional special classes: pre-1965 competition Ferraris; classic American luxury marque Pierce-Arrow; and the creations of Carrozzeria Ghia, the Italian design house marking its 100th anniversary in 2015.
The second annual Arizona Concours d’Elegance benefits Make-A-Wish Arizona, the founding chapter of the national organization that grants wishes for children facing life-threatening medical conditions. Tickets for the Concours are $75 and are available at the event or in advance. The Arizona Biltmore is offering special room rates to coincide with the event.
