A recent survey by ChicagoHotels.org evaluated average hotel room rates for the month of June 2019 across 20 Chicago neighborhoods and nearby suburbs, focusing on mid-scale to luxury properties rated three stars and above.
According to the report, Lake View topped the list as the most expensive area to stay in June, with typical double-room rates beginning at $217 per night for hotels meeting the survey’s criteria. Lincoln Park followed as the second most costly neighborhood, where the average rate was reported at $184 per night.
Popular destinations like The Loop fell nearer the middle of the range, with average rates around $160 per night. On the more affordable end, the survey identified Schaumburg on Chicago’s northwest side as the least expensive option among the 20 locations compared.
The findings offer a snapshot of how hotel pricing varied across the Chicago metropolitan area for June 2019, useful for travelers weighing location and budget when planning stays in the region.
