Happy Anniversary Paso Robles! The Central California community renowned for its award-winning wines is celebrating the 125th anniversary of its founding with a year-long schedule of events, highlighted by special tastings, dinners and vineyard experiences.
One signature event, Vintage Paso: Zinfandel and Other Wild Wines, runs March 14–16 and showcases Zinfandel alongside other distinctive regional varieties. The weekend program includes guided tastings, intimate winemaker dinners and behind-the-scenes vineyard tours that offer a close look at the region’s terroir and winemaking traditions.
From April 11–14, the Earth Day Food & Wine Festival brings together more than 200 growers, vintners and chefs to pair acclaimed Paso Robles wines with local culinary offerings such as artisanal cheeses, seasonal produce and small-batch olive oils. Co-hosted by Castoro Cellars and JUSTIN Winery, the festival features a Farm-to-Fork Dinner on April 11, the Main Event on April 12 and a relaxed Wine Down Sunday on April 13. Wine Down Sunday includes a Farmer Sampler Brunch and a vineyard cycling tour, giving visitors a chance to enjoy the landscape and flavors of the region at a leisurely pace.
Throughout the anniversary year, Paso Robles will present additional tastings, educational seminars and community celebrations that highlight the area’s viticultural heritage and growing reputation among wine enthusiasts. Events are designed to appeal to a range of visitors, from casual wine lovers eager to sample local varieties to serious oenophiles seeking in-depth conversations with winemakers and growers.
Whether you attend organized festival events or explore the many tasting rooms and boutique wineries across the region, Paso Robles offers a lively, welcoming wine-country experience. The anniversary programming reinforces the region’s commitment to quality, sustainable agriculture and culinary partnerships that showcase the best of Central California’s food and wine scene.
If you plan to visit, check event schedules and book reservations in advance, as special dinners, tastings and tours often have limited capacity. The variety of offerings—large festival gatherings, intimate dinners and outdoor vineyard activities—means there’s something for every interest and travel style during this milestone year for Paso Robles.
