Traveling through airports is often stressful and unpredictable. Many passengers look for ways to improve their airport experience—from check-in to boarding—but success can be elusive. The rising popularity of airport lounges reflects travelers’ desire for a calmer, more comfortable pre-flight experience.

Capital One has introduced new digital features within the Capital One mobile app that let cardholders check real-time capacities at Capital One Lounges. In addition, Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders can now join a lounge waitlist remotely through the app when a location is at capacity, allowing them to manage their visit before arriving at the lounge.
To access these features, open the Capital One mobile app and sign in. From the homepage, tap Travel (the airplane icon) inside the Explore Rewards & Benefits tile. On the Travel page, choose Lounges. Use the search bar or select a specific Capital One Lounge to view detailed information and live availability for that location.

If the lounge you want to visit is currently full, Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders can join a digital waitlist in the app. The process is straightforward:
- From the lounge’s location page in the app, tap Join Waitlist.
- Enter your name, phone number and party size, then slide the button to confirm joining the waitlist.
- You will be returned to the lounge page to see your confirmation and the estimated wait time. The app will also send this information via text message.
- When your turn arrives, you’ll receive a notification both in the app and by text. You will have 15 minutes to reach the lounge; the app lets you indicate if you’re on the way, running late, have arrived, or are no longer coming.
Travelers without Venture X or Venture X Business cards can still join a waitlist in person at any Capital One Lounge reception desk and will receive texts when it is their turn to enter.
Capital One Lounges are located at several U.S. airports, including the recently opened Capital One Lounge at Denver International Airport, as well as lounges at Dulles International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
These app updates aim to streamline the lounge experience by reducing uncertainty and saving time, especially during busy travel periods.
