City residents who have chosen not to own a personal car will soon have an elegant, convenient alternative for getting around. Book by Cadillac is a new subscription-style car rental service that lets licensed drivers rent Cadillac vehicles on a month-to-month basis.
To get started, users download the app, provide basic information such as a driver’s license and credit card details, then request a vehicle and a delivery time. Renters can drive the vehicle for as long as they keep the monthly plan and have the flexibility to swap cars if their needs change.
The service carries a premium price of $1,500 per month, with no long-term commitment required. That fee includes benefits not typically offered by standard rental companies: a dedicated concierge available before, during and after the rental period; vehicles equipped with Wi‑Fi hotspots, OnStar, and SiriusXM; and coverage for insurance and routine maintenance. Renters are responsible for fuel and tolls.
Book by Cadillac is currently in beta testing in New York City. Interested drivers can join the waitlist via the service’s website.
