British Airways Adds TSA PreCheck for Faster U.S. Airport Security

U.S. travelers flying with British Airways can now use TSA PreCheck for faster, smoother security screening when departing from U.S. airports.

Since mid-May, British Airways passengers who already have TSA PreCheck clearance can experience expedited security. Simply enter your valid Known Traveler Number (KTN) when booking your British Airways flight. If your enrollment is recognized, a TSA PreCheck indicator will appear on your boarding pass. At the airport, follow the signs to the dedicated TSA PreCheck lane.

TSA PreCheck speeds the screening process and reduces common hassles: you can usually keep shoes, light jackets and belts on, and laptops and compliant liquids may remain inside your carry-on bag. This streamlines the checkpoint experience and helps travelers move through security more quickly.

Eligibility for TSA PreCheck includes TSA PreCheck members as well as Global Entry, NEXUS and SENTRI cardholders, provided the Known Traveler Number is added to the reservation.

“We’re really pleased that our customers can now benefit from the expedited services of TSA PreCheck. Having the ability to fast track through security will give time back to our customers so they can relax and enjoy more time in our lounges or more time to shop and dine in the airport,” said Doug Caines, vice president, operations, safety and business development at British Airways.

If you don’t yet have TSA PreCheck and want to apply before your next trip, visit the official TSA website for application details and enrollment instructions.
