Bonaventure Montréal Unveils New MICE Facilities for Events and Conferences

Convention hosts and event planners continually seek modern, efficient spaces for meetings and conferences. As of summer 2018, Montréal planners gained a significant new option: Hotel Bonaventure Montréal.

Formerly part of the Hilton chain, Hotel Bonaventure Montréal completed a comprehensive renovation of its convention facilities in 2018. The hotel offers 397 guest rooms and occupies the top two floors of Place Bonaventure, a 17-story commercial and business complex in the heart of downtown Montréal.

The renovated event space totals approximately 50,000 square feet and includes more than 34 flexible meeting rooms, highlighted by the largest column-free ballroom in Montréal. All meeting and convention facilities are located on a single floor, simplifying logistics for both large-scale conferences and smaller gatherings.

Convenience is a design priority: the convention level is just an escalator ride from the main lobby, and even the farthest guest rooms are only about a one-minute walk away. Guest rooms are arranged to support productive stays, with comfortable workstations and complimentary high-speed internet to keep attendees connected during events.

The convention spaces reopened in September 2018 after upgrades to the lobby and public areas. Further renovations are planned to refresh guest rooms next, continuing the property’s modernization.

Hotel Bonaventure Montréal has deep roots in the city: it was originally established in the 1960s in connection with the Montréal World’s Fair, and it has since evolved to meet contemporary meeting and hospitality needs.
