Start planning for summer now — it’s closer than you think. Pedalers Pub & Grille has launched a new guided bike tour that follows the scenic corridor between Anchorage and Denali National Park, including a stretch along the Denali Highway. The 10-day itinerary, called Craft Beers & Roadhouses, combines memorable cycling days with nightly tastings at a selection of Alaska’s craft breweries.
Riders will pedal past volcanic vistas in the Wrangell Range, travel along the Glenn Highway flanked by the Chugach and Talkeetna mountain ranges, and join local glacier guides for hikes across parts of the Matanuska Glacier. Brewery stops on the route include regional favorites from the Alaskan panhandle to Denali Brewery in Talkeetna — the small town that inspired the fictional Cicely from the television series Northern Exposure. The tour starts at $4,250 per person, with multiple departures scheduled throughout the summer season.
