Alaia Belize, an Autograph Collection, on Ambergris Caye recently completed a series of renovations designed to enhance the guest experience and highlight the resort’s coastal charm.
One of the most notable additions is the resort’s new cocktail bar, Arlie’s, named in honor of Arlie Petters, the distinguished Belizean-American mathematician and professor. Arlie’s presents a menu that focuses on fresh, local ingredients and thoughtful craft cocktails that blend classic mixology with Belizean flavors. Drinks reflect creativity and precision, offering options such as a reimagined negroni and the “Welcome to Belize,” an artisanal cocktail that combines local fruits with Belizean rum for a distinctly island-forward experience.

Another major upgrade is the new seawall along the resort’s oceanfront, built to expand the beachfront gathering space while preserving direct access to a swimmable stretch of sand. The seawall creates a scenic, functional area for lounging and small events and is complemented by a sandy lounge with daybeds, umbrellas and attentive beachside service. Together these features give guests a comfortable place to relax, sunbathe and enjoy unobstructed ocean views.

The property also refreshed K’ln Spa & Wellness Center, improving its facilities and services to support relaxation and holistic wellness for guests. In addition, the resort opened Sea Grape Hall, a new event center designed to host meetings, conferences, weddings and other social gatherings. Sea Grape Hall offers flexible event space, modern amenities and a seaside atmosphere that suits both intimate and larger-scale functions.
