Banyan Group Hotel Opens Its First Sokcho Property, South Korea

Banyan Group has expanded its portfolio with the opening of Cassia Sokcho, the first Cassia-branded property in South Korea. The hotel offers 674 rooms including suites and penthouse apartments, many of which feature kitchens, private balconies and bathtubs. The property is set between the East Sea and Mount Seorak, providing scenic views and convenient access to natural attractions.

The building rises 26 floors above ground with two basement levels. Its design integrates local destination elements into both public spaces and guest services to reflect the surrounding coastal and mountain environment.

Dining at Cassia Sokcho covers a wide range of preferences. Fogo grill focuses on grilled specialties, featuring premium meats and local seafood. Vista offers an international buffet with live show kitchens. Horizon provides freshly baked bread, cold-pressed juices and healthy menu options. Cielo, the rooftop bar, presents a curated selection of premium spirits and cocktails. Bosco serves brunch and afternoon tea in a relaxed setting, and Market 937 functions as a convenience retail space offering snacks, beverages and regional delicacies.

Wellness and recreation amenities are located on the fifth floor, where 8LEMENTS Spa offers 15 treatment rooms, dedicated massage areas, a large whirlpool overlooking the East Sea, and both dry and wet saunas. The Activa fitness center features modern equipment alongside a Liquid Activa bar serving freshly prepared, health-focused beverages. Aquatic options include an infinity pool, an indoor pool, a children’s pool and open-air baths designed for relaxation with sea views.

For meetings and events, Cassia Sokcho provides five flexible event spaces. The ballroom accommodates up to 400 guests and is fitted with contemporary audiovisual systems, a large LED screen and a professional stage suitable for conferences, weddings and performances.
