Global bike-touring leader Backroads has refreshed its Best in Class fleet with new, high-performance titanium road bikes built to custom specifications. The update enhances ride quality and comfort across the company’s wide range of guided cycling vacations.
Alongside the fleet upgrade, Backroads added several new itineraries to its active-travel lineup. New destinations include Chile’s Lakes & Volcanoes District, Croatia & Slovenia, Cuba and Portugal. Select tours now also offer guided yoga sessions to complement daily riding and support recovery.
Tours are designed for a variety of fitness and skill levels, from relaxed, scenic rides to more demanding, endurance-style routes. Many departures are themed—highlighting regional food, wine and cultural experiences—and include flexible options so riders can tailor each day to their pace.
All bike tours include complimentary GPS navigation. European departures are equipped with the Garmin Edge Explore 1000 device, while North American trips use Wahoo navigation systems to help riders follow routes easily and confidently.
