Avis Preferred customers renting from Avis airport locations across the United States now have a simpler, faster way to rent. Avis introduced a mobile app that lets customers manage nearly every aspect of their reservation, reducing paperwork, eliminating long lines and removing many common hassles associated with car rental.
The app enables users to confirm, cancel or extend reservations, and to select a vehicle from those available in real time with just a few taps. Vehicle details such as exact mileage and current fuel level are shown at pickup so customers can easily compare condition at return. While on the road, users can lock and unlock the rental or flash the vehicle’s lights directly from their phone.
One of the most convenient features is the drop-and-go option, which allows travelers to return a car without waiting for assistance. After parking the vehicle in the rental lot, a few simple steps in the app complete the return process so customers can leave immediately—no waiting in line required.
