Ascend Hotel Collection Expands European Footprint: New Hotels Open

Ascend Hotel Collection, part of Choice Hotels International, has expanded its portfolio of upscale independent hotels with two new properties: The Gibson Hotel in Dublin, Ireland, and Lindenwarrah at Milawa in Australia.

Situated in Dublin’s emerging cultural district and just 10 minutes from Dublin Airport (DUB), The Gibson Hotel offers 252 guestrooms and suites designed for both leisure and business travelers. The hotel features a restaurant and bar, a fitness center, dedicated relaxation areas, a business center, internal courtyards and flexible meeting and event spaces — all intended to provide a contemporary, comfortable stay close to the city’s attractions and transport links.

In Australia’s North East Victoria region, Lindenwarrah at Milawa brings 40 guestrooms and suites to a renowned food and wine area. The property includes a fine dining restaurant and bar, a spa, multiple lounge areas, a rooftop terrace, landscaped courtyards and meeting and event facilities. Lindenwarrah is positioned to appeal to guests seeking regional culinary experiences, relaxation and boutique hospitality in a scenic setting.

“Ascend Hotel Collection continues to gain prominence as it grows internationally,” said Michael Murphy, senior vice president of upscale brands at Choice Hotels International. “The Collection offers hoteliers and guests the best of both worlds — a unique, upscale experience coupled with the backing of one of the world’s largest hospitality franchisors. With each property offering its own local flavor and an uncompromising commitment to service, these newest member hotels align perfectly with our distinctive portfolio.”

With the addition of The Gibson Hotel and Lindenwarrah at Milawa, Ascend Hotel Collection now operates 108 properties across the United States, Canada, Europe, Central America, Australia and the Caribbean, continuing its international expansion of independent, upscale hospitality options.
