American Express Expands Centurion Lounge Network Across U.S.

American Express has expanded its Centurion Lounge network with new locations at Hong Kong International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport.

The Hong Kong Centurion Lounge, which opened on Oct. 2, is the brand’s first lounge in Asia. Spanning roughly 8,000 square feet, the lounge offers a premium buffet featuring both Western and Eastern dishes, a complimentary full bar, private phone booths, dedicated meeting space, a shower suite, and an exclusive Centurion section. That private area showcases a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Lau Yiu Fai of InterContinental Hong Kong, bringing regional culinary influence to the travel experience.

In Philadelphia, the Centurion Lounge is set to open late this month in Terminal A West, occupying about 6,300 square feet. The location will feature an Israeli-inspired menu by award-winning chef Michael Solomonov, a complimentary full bar, generous views over the airfield, and amenities geared toward business travelers, including work areas and high-speed Wi-Fi.

American Express is also relocating the Centurion Lounge at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to a larger space in Terminal D, scheduled to open in 2018. The expanded facility will add roughly 3,000 square feet and introduce new amenities such as a private mother’s room and an additional shower suite.

Janey Whiteside, executive vice president and general manager of global charge products, benefits and services at American Express, commented that the company is pleased to introduce its first Centurion Lounge in Hong Kong—an important destination for Card Members and a center of contemporary culture—while also expanding U.S. offerings with a new Philadelphia location. She emphasized that these openings strengthen the Centurion Lounge portfolio and the broader Global Lounge Collection, reflecting American Express’s commitment to deliver premium travel benefits and experiences to an increasingly global customer base.

Access to Centurion Lounges remains complimentary and exclusive to Platinum Card and Centurion Members.
