The Alfond Inn, a new boutique hotel in Winter Park, Fla., opened on Aug. 18 and is offering introductory rates starting at $99 per night. These Welcome Rates are available for stays through Sept. 30, providing an affordable opportunity to experience the property soon after its debut.
Part of the Preferred Boutique collection, The Alfond Inn combines modern amenities with refined design across its 112 guestrooms. Room types range from classic king accommodations to a spacious presidential suite. The pet-friendly hotel includes complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, iPod docking stations, flat-screen TVs and roomy workstations in every guestroom. For events and meetings, the inn offers more than 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a grand ballroom. On-site dining is led by Hamilton’s Kitchen, which presents a menu inspired by Floridian flavors and seasonal ingredients.
Owned and operated by Rollins College, the inn was developed with a $12.5 million grant from the Harold Alfond Foundation. Net operating income from the property will support The Alfond Scholars program, Rollins College’s flagship scholarship fund. That endowment provides full scholarships and supplemental financial aid to high-achieving, deserving students. Revenue from the inn will be directed to the Alfond Scholars fund over the next 25 years or until the endowment principal reaches $50 million, whichever comes later, strengthening the college’s long-term scholarship capacity.
