Beginning Dec. 1, Air France will introduce an Airbus A380 on its Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Miami (MIA) route.
For the 2014–2015 winter season (Oct. 26–March 28), Air France plans to operate up to seven weekly flights between Paris and Miami, with the A380 entering service on Dec. 1.
The Air France A380 is configured with 516 seats across four cabin classes: nine seats in La Première, 80 in Business, 38 in Premium Economy and 389 in Economy. Large windows throughout the aircraft admit abundant natural light, and adjustable ambient lighting is used to help passengers adapt to time zone changes. The cabin layout also includes six social areas distributed across the aircraft to encourage interaction during the flight. For passenger interest and situational awareness, three exterior cameras—located at the nose, beneath the fuselage, and at the tail—provide live views during the journey.
This deployment increases capacity on the Paris–Miami route and offers travelers a range of seating options, enhanced comfort features and onboard amenities designed for long-haul travel.
